Prudential Financial Named a 2007 Working Mother 100 Best Company

For the 18th consecutive year, Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU) was named a 2007 Working Mother 100 Best Company. Prudential, also a Working Mother Hall of Fame Company for its tenure on the list, was selected for the 2007 Working Mother 100 Best Companies based on an extensive application of 575 questions. This year, particular weight was given to flexibility and family-friendly policies. "At Prudential, we recognize that our employees have demanding lives outside of work,” said Sharon Taylor, senior vice president, Corporate Human Resources. "That’s why we continue to expand our menu of programs and policies including: dependent care, leaves of absence, alternative work options, resource and referral, employee assistance, wellness and more. These offerings, which are part of a broader total rewards program, are but one of the many things we do to help our employees achieve personal and professional success. We recognize that a more engaged workforce will also help the company achieve its business goals.” "Every year our winning companies raise the bar for what it means to be an employer of choice for working families," said Carol Evans, CEO and President, Working Mother Media. "Prudential not only offers essential benefits like flextime and telecommuting—they go above and beyond with a range of best practices and policies to ease the difficulties for working parents and their families. Their supportive culture makes a huge difference to employees who want to be great moms and great workers." Working Mother is published by Working Mother Media (WMM), which also owns the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), NAFE magazine, the annual 100 Best Companies WorkLife Congress, as well as the Best Companies for Multicultural Women Conference and regional Town Halls.
