PetroQuest Q1 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - PetroQuest Energy, Inc. (PQ) Tuesday reported higher profit for the first-quarter of 2014, reflecting a 67 percent growth in oil and gas revenues.

The company's net income available to common stockholders for the quarter climbed to $10 million or $0.15 per share from $2.6 million or $0.04 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Oil and gas revenues climbed 67 percent to $59 million from $35 million in the year-ago period. Production for the first quarter of 2014 was 9.76 million Mcfe compared with 8.25 million Mcfe in the first quarter of 2013.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.10 per share and revenues of $58.83 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
