NCR Profit Tops Estimates

(RTTNews) - ATM and cash dispenser maker NCR Corp (NCR) on Tuesday reported first-quarter net earnings of $40 million or $0.23 per share compared with $53 million or $0.31 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.43 per share compared with $0.50 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $1.48 billion compared with $1.52 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.39 per share on revenues of $1.49 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Gross margin for the quarter worsened to 26.4% from 27.4% a year ago.

For the full year 2015, the company continues to expect adjusted earnings of $2.60 to $2.80 per share on revenues of $6.53 billion to $6.68 billion. Analysts expect earnings of $2.66 per share on revenues of $6.54 billion for the year.
