NCSP Group's cargo turnover for January-May 2018 totaled 59.2 million tons

NCSP Group (LSE: NCSP, MOEX: NMTP) hereby reports that the consolidated cargo turnover of the Group's terminals for January-May 2018 totaled 59,249.8 thousand tons.

Transshipment of bulk cargo in January-May 2018 increased by 14.6% or 941.5 thousand tons and reached 7,409.4 thousand tons compared to the previous year, mainly due to growth of grain transshipment supported by high yield in the current grain season.

Grain transshipment increased by 31.3% or 1,294.2 thousand tons, to 5,431.6 thousand tons. The volume of Iron Ore raw materials transshipment increased by 6.2% or 61.0 thousand tons and reached 1,051.3 thousand tons. The volume of coal transshipment decreased by 21.2% to 655.3 thousand tons due to the ongoing depreciation of the Turkish Lira against the US dollar.

Transshipment of chemical goods and raw sugar amounted to 161.0 and 110.1 thousand tons, respectively.

Transshipment of general cargo in January-May 2018 increased by 9.7% or 554.3 thousand tons and reached 6,269.5 thousand tons, mainly due to growth of cast iron transshipment caused by expansion of the sales markets and increase in sales volumes.

Transshipment of ferrous metals and cast iron increased by 571.5 thousand tons or 11.4% and amounted to 5,564.5 thousand tons. Transshipment of perishable goods increased by 44.7% or 43.8 thousand tons, to 141.7 thousand tons. Transshipment volumes of non-ferrous metals and timber amounted to 431.2 thousand tons and 132.1 thousand tons, respectively.

Container turnover of NCSP Group amounted to 2,631.1 thousand tons or 269.4 thousand TEU in the reporting period, which was by 3.0% more in tons and by 6.9% more in TEU than in the same period of 2017.

Transshipment of other cargo in January-May 2018 amounted to 469.9 thousand tons, an increase of 3.1 times thanks to the attraction to transshipment of various cargoes for the direct variant by companies of the Group in Novorossiysk.

Transshipment of liquid cargo in January-May 2018 decreased by 12.6% or 6,112.0 thousand tons and amounted to 42,469.9 thousand tons, including 27,148.8 thousand tons of crude oil, 14,817.9 thousand tons of oil products, 327.1 thousand tons of UAN, and 176.1 thousand tons of seed oils.

Crude oil transshipment decreased by 20.3% or 6,925.9 thousand tons, including by 14.4% in Novorossiysk and by 23.9% in Primorsk. Transshipment of oil products increased by 6.3% or 876.0 thousand tons, which is 6.0 pp above the growth rate of the industry (according to the Association of Commercial Seaports (ASOP)).

Transshipment of liquid fertilizers (UAN) decreased by 3.6%, and transshipment of vegetable oils reduced by 22.1% compared to January-May 2017.
