Dow CEO, Alongside Head of The Sierra Club, Calls For the Passage of Home Star, the U.S. Home Weatherization Bill, in Forbes

In its Friday, June 25 edition, Forbes carried an editorial by Andrew N. Liveris, Chairman and CEO, The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE:DOW), and Michael Brune, Executive Director of The Sierra Club, advocating that Home Star be passed by Congress. The Home Star bill would advance collaboration between the public sector and private, through matched funds, to advance home weatherization. It will serve to support the beleaguered construction industry and related fields, while helping to address one of the worst sources of energy "leakage,” the home. Liveris and Brune both belong to the Home Star coalition, a broad-based group of business, labor and environmental groups who support the bill.
