China Nepstar Chain Drugstore Q3 Loss Widens; Rebecca Yingnan Zhang Named COO

(RTTNews) - China Nepstar Chain Drugstore Ltd. (NPD) reported a wider third-quarter 2014 net loss of RMB13.1 million, or $2.1 million, versus a loss of RMB4.7 million last year. Loss per share was RMB0.13 per ADS, compared with a loss of RMB0.05 per ADS a year ago.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2014, revenue increased by 8.1% to RMB738.3 million, or $120.3 million from RMB683.2 million in the third quarter of 2013.

Separately, the company announced the appointment of Rebecca Yingnan Zhang as its Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Zhang has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and joined Nepstar in March 1999.
