CARBO Ceramics Inc. Names David Gallagher as New Vice President, Marketing and Sales
IRVING, Texas, April 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CARBO Ceramics Inc. , the world's leading manufacturer of ceramic proppants for use in the hydraulic fracturing of natural gas and oil wells and the leading supplier of fracture and reservoir diagnostic services, today announced that its has appointed David G. Gallagher as Vice President, Marketing and Sales effective immediately.
Mr. Gallagher has more than 26 years of experience in the oilfield service industry with Schlumberger, Ltd. Within Schlumberger Oilfield Services business, Mr. Gallagher served as Schlumberger Dowell Director of Product Development for Stimulation and Intervention Technologies, Director of Marketing for Schlumberger U.S. land division and most recently served as Director of Marketing for Venezuela, Trinidad and the Caribbean. Mr. Gallagher earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of New Mexico.
Gary Kolstad, the company's President and CEO said, "We are fortunate to have someone with David's considerable experience in the worldwide oil and gas service industry and with extensive knowledge of all aspects of hydraulic fracturing to direct the global expansion of our business. The company also announced that Chris Wright, the founder of Pinnacle Technologies, has been named the first CARBO Fellow. The CARBO Fellowship program has been initiated to recognize employees that demonstrate industry- leading technical expertise that creates value for clients and drives business strategy. Mr. Wright has resigned from his position as Vice President, Business Development but will continue to be a key technical advisor to the company.
