Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions Unit Appoints Former EMC Executive to Head Storage Practice
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS), a business unit of Arrow Electronics, Inc. , today announced the appointment of Sean Kerins as vice president of its North American Storage Group.
"Arrow ECS has established a leadership position in high-growth sectors for our suppliers and partners," said Kevin Gilroy, president of Arrow ECS. "Sean will scale and lead our storage business strategy to promote further growth in this market for Arrow ECS."
Kerins is responsible for managing supplier and partner relationships for Arrow ECS' storage platforms, including EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, Network Appliance and other existing and emerging platforms. He will also oversee strategic partnerships, sales, marketing and finance functions and a team of approximately 300 within Arrow ECS' Storage Group.
Kerins recently completed 10 years at EMC, where he played key roles in sales operations, marketing, and professional services within EMC's North America operations, as well as in Europe and Asia. Most recently, he led an effort to transform EMC's traditional systems engineering model and establish their North American Client Solutions Lead Practice. Prior to that, as a vice president in EMC's Technology Solutions Division, he played a lead role in the formation of EMC's Storage Consulting business, now a multi-million-dollar venture. Before joining EMC, Kerins rose through the ranks at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting and served as an industrial engineer with General Motors. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
