Amdocs Continues to Deliver Strategic Milestones for Openreach

ST. LOUIS and LONDON, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amdocs , the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced it has completed a major milestone for Openreach as part of its ongoing involvement with BT Group . Amdocs Consulting has concluded the initial stages of designing business processes to support Openreach's Business Transformation Project. Openreach is the separately governed operating entity within BT Group that manages the local access network.

"Working with the Amdocs team on this transformation initiative has been a powerful catalyst for change, underpinned by professionalism, intelligence and dedication," said Colin Windsor, chief information officer for Openreach. "The relationship between Amdocs and Openreach continues to provide solutions that combine technology and business processes to deliver excellent customer experiences to both communications providers and end users."

Openreach Business Transformation Project

Amdocs Consulting has completed a major milestone in helping Openreach meet its regulatory requirements for its regulated voice and data products by working alongside Openreach to transform its issue resolution processes. The goal of this project is to support increasing demand and growth, and identify roadmap recommendations for future transformation. Amdocs Consulting has delivered consulting services to enhance systems, business processes and overall service level agreement performance for this regulated product set.

Amdocs Consulting worked with Openreach's Customer Experience team to develop a comprehensive process optimization and transformation roadmap to address the immediate concerns and recommend solutions for long-term system improvements. This multi-phase project included an end-to-end business readiness audit of one of the regulated product programs and spanned resources, processes and systems. Additionally, Amdocs delivered an approach to meet 95 percent success on Openreach's key "right first time" measure. The "right first time" measure is designed to enable BT to continue to deliver services in line with contractual commitments. Amdocs' recommendations have led to significant business benefits for Openreach including improvements of the automation levels of its systems, and a reduction in "cost to serve" and fault cycle time.

"Openreach and Amdocs share a strong vision of innovation and commitment to delivering industry leading solutions to enable a superior customer experience," said Guy Dubois, executive vice president of Amdocs. "As Amdocs continues to work with Openreach on strategic initiatives, we look forward to helping the company pioneer both products and services that drive transformation, and help shape and change the world of communications."

BT and Amdocs have a long-standing relationship in which Amdocs software has been deployed across BT to deliver the intentional customer experience. Amdocs has been working with BT for more than ten years and has put a number of systems into production, including customer management, service management and billing solutions.
