Akzo Nobel Announces Share Repurchase Program, Special Dividend - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Akzo Nobel NV (AKZOY.PK, AKZOY) announced the company intends to repurchase common shares up to a value of 2.5 billion euros as part of a total 6.5 billion euros being distributed to shareholders following the sale of the Specialty Chemicals business. The company said its share buyback will start on or around February 25, 2019 and is due to be completed by the end of 2019.

AkzoNobel also announced details of a 1 billion euros special cash dividend as part of a total 6.5 billion euros being distributed to shareholders following the sale of the Specialty Chemicals business. Shareholders will receive a special cash dividend of 4.50 euros per common share on February 25, 2019.
